I have been working consistently on 2 series simultaneously: Divinity & Guff.
They seem like worlds apart at first (which I guess they are in a sense), but there is definitely a synergy developing which I didn’t expect.
In a way, Guff is a return to some of my earlier themes in Non-sense and even Water. Ignoring and invalidating reason in favor of a more intuitive way of interpreting our realities as human beings.
Divinity is picking up from Intuition, Dancing and Reverence and reducing the vocabulary into more simple and basic forms.
I was reflecting today in my garden on how Guff (and its predecessors) are drawing more from a masculine type of energy. Movement and action are emphasized.
In Divinity (and its predecessors) there is a distinct feeling of feminine energy. Expansion and potential are emphasized.
Seeing them side by side gives me a nice feeling of peace and alignment. I am excited to expand upon both themes and continue developing a new body of work for 2025.
