“And once you’ve got ’em… you know you always have the blues”

These works on paper from the Blues Series emerged from my reverence for and emotional relationship with the tradition of blues music from the United States, in all of its forms and evolutions, but especially the Great Depression-era solo guitar variety, specifically the music of Leadbelly, Skip James, Scrapper Blackwell, and Jimmy Rodgers.
