Working on my solo show which is TBA in September.
This will be the debut of Composition as Process out in the world. I couldn’t be more excited that it will be in Mexico City, what I consider my home, and it will be in a gallery that has supported me since day 1 and has made my life possible the past 3 years.
I have dreamed of consistency in my process for so long and it’s coming true.
I thank the sun and the trees for this revelation, not only are they improving my health substantially, they have inspired me endlessly to find a process that echoes the music and art I’ve been making for over 15 years; to fuse my love of improvisation with my passion for systems.
Speaking of music, I have been releasing what I like to call “Sound Environments” on YouTube and I am preparing to launch a 24/7 stream (endless concert) of these works soon.
This format allows me to improvise and play instruments and develop generative, spacialized music systems.
Inspired by John Cage, I’ve titled this aspect of my practice “No Matter What Eventuality”. The sounds are just sounds and they are happening.
